Harlem-based DJ Boogie Blind got into the business in 2000. He has played all over the world (and at SXSW) for the X-Ecutioners, Pharoahe Monch and many others. While a member of the New York City duo Organized Konfusion, Pharoahe Monch developed a reputation as one of underground hip-hop’s pre-eminent lyricists, crafting intricate and intelligent raps with partner Prince Poetry. After recording three albums together from 1991-1997, the two split up amicably, and Monch pursued a more aggressive solo style with the terrific independent label Rawkus. He made guest appearances on other artists’ records and contributed tracks to the Rawkus compilation Soundbombing II, which raised expectations for his solo debut. The single/video “Simon Says” was released in the summer of 1999 and became a massive hit among rap and club audiences, setting the stage for a surprising debut — just short of the Top 40 — for the full-length Internal Affairs upon its release several months later. While he didn’t release a second album — Desire — until 2007, he was active throughout the intervening years, with fiery singles like “The Life” (with Styles) and “Agent Orange,” along with featured spots on tracks by Ras Kass, J Dilla, Pete Rock, and Sa-Ra.

Yep, the CM fam & Timebomb is bringing back Large Pro to the Burgh after he slid through two years back for our 1 yr. Anniv + my 35th B-day soiree’. Extra P was so cool and down to earth the first time around that I didn’t have to think twice when brainstorming on a special guest for my 37th revolution around the sun bash. P will be doing double duty, displaying his skills on the sticks as well as blessing the mic to performing classics from “Breaking Atoms” and his solo releases.

Bonics (KISS FM) will be making his Classic Material debut with a 45 minute guest set. Hosting duties will be held down with style by the legendary. Paradise from the X-Clan and contributing force behind the Latin Quarter in Nueva York.

We will also be celebrating the born day of Classic Material fam Liana Maneese. Needles to say it will be an action packed event so be sure to get there early for guaranteed admission.

Crooks & Castles was on MTVs Disaster Date on April 13 2010. The last date on the show where the girl was playing a party girl who got real drunk the night before and went home with a random guy. The guy who she supposedly got with the night before then came to the restaurant and sat down with them. He broke down the whole situation of what she did the night before. The guy stayed the whole 60 minutes and got the full 60 dollars for not leaving. I would have stayed too, it was pretty funny… lol.

Lord Finesse is a Hip hop artist and producer, hailing from The Bronx, New York, best known as the leader of the D.I.T.C. rap crew. In 1989, Finesse and his former partner DJ Mike Smooth signed to Wild Pitch Records, home to other popular Hip Hop artists like Gang Starr, Main Source, Chill Rob G, Percee P and O.C.. In 1990, the duo released their debut album Funky Technician.

When I think of holiday parties I think of ugly sweaters and bad holiday music. Well that was defiantly not the case at the Time Bomb holiday party at Shadow Lounge on Wednesday December 23! Everyone was dressed to impress and we were blessed with the musical stylings of the world famous DJ Tony Touch! Local DJs included HankD, Selecta and SMI- even MC BZE made a special performance. Hank D also had Smoken Sextion from NYC come thru to round out the lineup.

As most of you already know the Time Bomb crew are huge fans of The Clipse’s clothing brand Play Cloths. Looks like Lil Wayne is a fan of the Play Cloths X Triple Fat Goose collabo jacket. As soon as we got these jackets in they barely lasted the day before getting completely sold out. One of the lucky buyers was local hip hop talent Boaz who opted to wear it when he opened up for Raekwon on Dec 13th at Mr Smalls.
